The puppet has very good nodding and head turning. As you can see the nodding control goes through bent tubes glued to the main wooden spine.

The big lever controls the nodding and the trigger in front opens the mouth. The eyes are worked with the thumb. The end of that stick going down is resting on the floor, which is always padded with three carpets.
